Mission Statement	The Communications Committee facilitates strong relations between the Undergraduate Student Government and the students of the UConn Hartford campus. The committee works to strengthen the way it conveys information to the students regarding decisions made for the student body as well as events on campus.

Major/Minor: Communication

Reason for Joining USG: As a Communication major on the pre-law track, I felt like the Chief of Communications role was a great fit for me because it allowed me to combine both of my interests. Communication is important when it comes to advocacy, leadership, and making sure people feel heard. I wanted to use those skills to help share USG’s work, connect with the student body, and make sure students were informed and represented. At the same time, the role gave me an opportunity to build leadership and advocacy skills that connect with my interest in law.
